What we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. In plain English.
Last updated: 7 October 2026
1. Who we are
Foskett Marketing is run by Joshua Foskett as a sole trader, based in Northampton. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Foskett Marketing. We decide how your personal data is used, which makes us the “controller” under UK data protection law.
-
Phone: 07916 546078
-
Based in: Northampton, Northamptonshire, UK
2. What we collect
We only collect what we need. Depending on how you deal with us, that can include:
-
Enquiry details from our free analysis and contact forms: your name, company, email, phone number, website, the area you serve and what you tell us about your goals.
-
Email sign-ups for our free guide or tips: your first name and email address.
-
Ad lead forms: details you submit through our own ads on Facebook or Instagram.
-
Client information: contact and billing details, and the account access you give us to do the work.
-
Website usage: pages visited, device and browser type and approximate location, collected through cookies (see section 8).
3. How we use it and why
The law requires a “lawful basis” for each use of your data. Here’s ours:
-
Replying to your enquiry and preparing your free analysis: legitimate interests, and steps you’ve asked for before a contract.
-
Delivering the services you’ve bought: contract.
-
Sending the guide and marketing emails: consent. Unsubscribe any time using the link in every email.
-
Analytics and ad measurement cookies: consent, given through our cookie banner.
-
Invoicing, accounts and tax records: legal obligation.
4. Who we share it with
We don’t sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business:
-
Wix: website hosting and forms
-
n8n: automations that pass your form details to us
-
Telegram: instant alerts to us when you get in touch
-
Google Sheets: where we keep a record of enquiries and guide sign-ups
-
Our email provider: sending the guide and our replies from joshua@foskettmarketing.co.uk
-
Google Analytics: website analytics
-
Meta and Google: advertising platforms, when you interact with our ads
-
Our bank and accountant: invoicing and tax
When we run campaigns for clients, the leads those campaigns produce belong to the client. We handle them only on the client’s instructions, as a “processor”, under our agreement with them.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers store data outside the UK. Where they do, it’s protected by UK adequacy regulations or the UK’s approved contract terms (the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum).
6. How long we keep it
-
Enquiries that don’t become clients: 12 months from our last contact
-
Client records: 6 years after our work ends, for tax purposes
-
Email sign-ups: until you unsubscribe
-
Analytics data: 14 months
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
-
Get a copy of the data we hold about you
-
Have it corrected if it’s wrong
-
Have it deleted
-
Restrict or object to how we use it, including for direct marketing
-
Receive it in a portable format
-
Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent
Email joshua@foskettmarketing.co.uk to use any of these rights. We’ll reply within one month, and it’s free.
8. Cookies
Essential cookies keep the website working and don’t need your consent. We only set analytics and advertising cookies (such as Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel and Google Ads conversion tracking) if you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your cookies, which brings the banner back, or in your browser settings.
9. Keeping it safe
We use reputable providers, strong passwords and two-factor authentication, and only people who need access get it. Where you give us access to your accounts, we use manager or partner access rather than your passwords wherever the platform allows.
10. Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
